Schools coaching

Secondary Schools programme

We have a great relationship with the Outdoor Education departments at Grantown Grammar and Kingussie High School, and run a mid week programme for up to 16 students from each school. Alongside technical, leadership and team skills development, we also have a vision of creating instructors and coaches, and educating our young skiers of the opportunities there are in the Snowsports industry. 2022 saw the introduction of snowboarding to the programme.

The programme is delivered with the support of CSC, Cairngorm Snowboard Club, and Cairngorm Mountain.

We would like to expand this programme to other schools in the area so if you are interested in getting a team together for training, please contact our Head Coach, Helen Holliday at headcoach@cairngormskiclub.co.uk

SSSA (Scottish Schools Snowsports Association) Autumn and Winter Series

As a race club, we actively promote and host some of the autumn and winter SSSA races where primary and secondary schools from all over Scotland come together and compete in dual slalom, slalom and giant slalom formats, with the series finishing with a finals day at either Snowfactor (Autumn) or a Scottish resort (Winter).

To support Schools teams we can plan to run a primary and secondary School race training in advance of the SSSA series. Please contact Helen for further details.
