Race organiser training

The Club encourages trainees at all levels to take part in Bairns races, the SSSA schools series, BASS races and and other competitive events across Scotland and abroad. These events inevitably need volunteer helpers to help run them, and we particularly need your support at our own Bairns/BASS
race weekend, the CSC Open in late February.

We will be organising some Event Training sessions this autumn to help parents learn the ropes of helping out at races. This can vary from gate keeping or helping with bibs, to course maintenance and timing, to eventually taking on lead roles as Chief Gatekeeper, Chief of Course or Chief of Race.

They are great events to be involved in and you can learn all sorts of new skills.

Please let Helen know if you are interested in helping out the Club and we can organise training sessions that fit around the kids coaching sessions =, initially at the dry slope at Glenmore Lodge, with some additional hands on training when the snow comes. Please look out for out for updates on our Facebook page.
