THE PLAN – SATURDAY
Everybody meet at Badaguish at 10am
Cairngorm plan to open one very small area on the Ciste Fairway served by a section of the Ciste tow. This would not provide us with sufficient training space and in our view the forecast winds are highly likely to prevent this operating.
The Lecht are advising a limited area open, we have taken the decision not to travel to the Lecht this weekend as we want to keep everybody together and it is unlikely the snow gates will be open early tomorrow.
Our plan is to offer a mix of the following:-
- Fitness Training
- Ski tuning demonstration (for parents and kids)
- Information on races
- Video analysis (subject to us sourcing the material)
- Dry Slope Ski Training for Bairns at Glenmore Lodge
There are some fixed times that we need parents help with.
10.00 EVERYBODY Arrival and briefing
10.30 – BAIRNS Ciste Rippers will go to Glenmore Lodge (parents will need to take them and drop them off, parking is likely to be limited due to a large conference).
10.30 First ski tuning demonstration at Badaguish followed by an information session on races
12.00 Ciste Ripper parents collect from Glenmore Lodge and return to Badaguish
12.00 – 1pm Lunch and free time playing in the snow (there is lots at Badaguish)
1.30pm – BAIRNS Cas Flyers parents to take kids to Glenmore Lodge and drop off.

- Everybody – Skis and any ski tuning equipment that you have if you want to have a go.
- Bairns – skis, helmets, poles and appropriate clothes and gloves for the dry slope.
- Packed Lunch
Badaguish kindly allow us to use a small kitchen area but you will need to bring your own tea/coffee/milk and please ensure that the area is left as we find it.
Any questions drop me an email firstname.lastname@example.org, or ask on Facebook as others may have the same question.
A frustrating start to the season but we will have FUN and do some very useful ski relevant training.
See you tomorrow. Plan for Sunday likely to be similar though a dry slope option only for freestyle.
